For vendors, we provide customized testing services for new products under development or for refining existing ones. For consultants seeking to apply remediation products, Loureiro can provide an unbiased, independent review of amendments under identical testing conditions so that comparisons can be made with confidence. This removes unexpected scope/cost changes.
Loureiro also conducts comparative treatability studies, where several technologies are evaluated simultaneously to determine which remedial option will best meet our client’s goals. Comparative treatability studies identify the strengths and weaknesses of each technology under site conditions to increase the reliability of the decision-making processes. These studies include strategies to avoid unintended byproducts (e.g., changing the pH to minimize metals mobilization) and the evaluation of one or more commercially-available products (e.g., amendments that aid in metals precipitation).
