Lab to Field Scalability
Full-scale applicability is strongly embedded in Loureiro's design of our treatability studies. The goal is for the final results to be translated to the field design and application. We are able to achieve this scalability by:
- Replicating actual site conditions as closely as possible (e.g., site media consisting of typical constituents and concentrations, using low pore volume batch tests for applications involving both soil and water, site conditions such as temperature)
- Testing amendments and dosages feasible in the field
- Using batch test results to refine design parameters in a follow-up column treatability study, if needed
- Considering other site factors or limitations during the design phase (e.g., overall cleanup goals, budget constraints, timeframe, access limitations, hydraulic or geologic constraints)
Our treatability studies can be used as a stand-alone service or can be integrated with our other divisions to provide a complete turnkey solution.
